If Texifier crashes on you, then the fastest way for us to trace the problem is with a crash report. Please follow the steps below and send the crash reports to support@vallettaventures.com. You can either get these from your device or from you Desktop or Laptop computer after syncing with iTunes.
Extracting crash reports from your iOS device
To find a crash report on your iOS device, please follow the steps below
- Open the
Settings
application from the home screen - Choose the
Privacy
section- On iPad this is visible at all times by scrolling the left hand bar
- On iPhone/iPod, you can get to this by pressing the left arrow all the way to the root and scrolling down
- Scroll the
Privacy
pane down to the bottom, and pressAnalytics
- Choose the
Analytics Data
row at the bottom - Scroll through these
.ips
files until you find atexpadm-YYYY-MM-DD-...
entry that matches the timing of the crash, and tap that - Please copy and paste the text of the resulting file into an email, and send it to support@vallettaventures.com
Extracting crash reports from your Desktop with iTunes
macOS
On macOS, sync your iOS device with iTunes, then you can find the crash reports in one of the following directories
- {your home directory}/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/{your device name}/texpadm.*
- {your home directory}/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/{your device name}.symbolicated/texpadm.*
The 2nd one is for new iPad and macOS systems. There should be some reports entitled texpadm. If you can send these to us, it would help a great deal.
Windows
On Windows the crash reports can be found here after syncing with iTunes C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/<DEVICE_NAME>
